MISSION AND PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Glendale Police Department constitutes an organization whose existence is justified solely on the basis of service to our community. It is the duty and privilege of each employee not only to protect our citizens from the criminal, but also to protect and defend the rights guaranteed under our structure of government. We must extend a strong determination to protect and support individual rights while at all times providing for the security of persons and property in the community. We must enforce the laws of the state of Missouri and the City of Glendale with impartiality, compassion, and professionalism.

ADMINISTRATION:
The Glendale Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency.  It is committed to the principles of community policing and to providing high-quality public safety service to the nearly 5,900 residents and business people of Glendale. Chief of Police Jeffrey Beaton commands the Glendale Police Department. The department is comprised of eleven sworn, full-time commissioned police officers and two part-time civilian employees.  Our civilian employees are assigned to the records division and are primarily responsible for records, administrative duties and assisting the Municipal Prosecuting Attorney.
