In April 2025, Glendale voters approved Proposition S, authorizing an $18.18 million debt service to fund a 5-year infrastructure improvement plan (2026–2030). This initiative, guided by the city's Stormwater Master Plan and Streets & Sidewalk Master Plan, aims to enhance public safety, accessibility, and resiliency.
Proposed Scope of Citywide Improvements (2026–2030):
- Reconstruction of 33 sections of street
- Milling and paving of 6 streets
- New sidewalks along 2 streets near North Glendale Elementary School
- Sidewalk repairs on 10 streets
- ADA-compliant upgrades for all non-compliant sidewalk ramps
- Construction of 3 major stormwater improvement projects
A complete breakdown of the projects and the proposed five-year schedule is available here.
