Founded in 1912, the City of Glendale started as a summer home destination for St. Louisans looking to retreat from urban life. Over a hundred years later, our 1.2 square mile city grew into a thriving community itself while still maintaining its original, peaceful allure.

With over 6000 residents and 25 small businesses, the City of Glendale is the perfect community for all. Over 2,200 families have chosen Glendale as their home. The family atmosphere of the community is created by the neighborhoods, schools, churches and the municipal government that serve the residents.

Our mission, as management and employees of the City of Glendale, is to prudently use the resources entrusted to them by the residents to maintain and enhance the quality of life of the residents in the areas of public safety, infrastructure, health, housing and community traditions!
