Kick off the holiday season with Glendale’s annual Tree Lighting on Friday, December 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Bring the family for a festive evening filled with holiday cheer, sweet treats and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Girl Scouts will serve free hot chocolate and cookies to help everyone stay warm during the festivities at Glendale City Hall, 424 N. Sappington Road. Donations for Kirk Care will be accepted during the event to help local families, and guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and hygiene products. Cereal, hair conditioner and body wash are especially needed at this time, while corn, green beans and black beans are not currently needed.
The evening will begin with the Mayor leading a countdown to light the large Christmas tree outside City Hall. Following the tree lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a grand entrance aboard a fire truck and take time to visit with each of the children.
