The City is seeking a responsible, hardworking individual to join our team to provide a variety of public works related maintenance duties, including directing maintenance crews and performing heavy and light maintenance work on city streets and infrastructure, including reconstruction and performing semi?skilled tasks in a variety of trades not requiring journeyman level skills. This position serves as a supervisor for other Maintenance Worker positions in Public Works and assumes the duties of the Public Works Superintendent in his or her absence.  Preferred candidate will also be well-organized, flexible, and able to work independently in the field.  The position requires a Missouri Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one immediately after hiring.  The position reports to the Public Works Superintendent.

The preferred candidate would have a minimum 3 years of experience in street maintenance and/or public works operations or related fields.  Experience with construction equipment, such as skid steers, dump trucks, and backhoes is also required.

Must possess a valid driver’s license; undergo a background check and drug screening.  This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.  City of Glendale participates in MO LAGERS at the L6 level with 4% employee contribution.
