St. Louis County will be closing N. Berry Road this coming Monday, March 16, 2020, between Brownell Avenue and Gramercy Place while work is underway to replace water, sewer, and gas lines, and construct new sidewalks and creek culvert. The road is expected to be closed the remainder of 2020. There will be no access from Brownell, Hillard or Clif Side to or from N. Berry Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use Lockwood Avenue, N. Sappington Road, and W. Kirkham Avenue as a detour route. There will be no direct connection between Manchester Road and I-44 using N. Berry Road.
Residents within 1-2 blocks should be aware that while work is underway you may feel vibrations and will be able to hear the equipment.
Crews are expected to work during normal construction hours of 7am to 5pm, but may work later at the onset of the project while crews bore through bedrock to install a new water main.
Workmen have been instructed to park their vehicles and equipment in a manner that maintains 1 open lane of traffic on city streets.
