Lisa was elected to her first term as Ward 1 Alderman on June 2, 2020, and sworn into office on June 15, 2020.
Lisa grew up in Chaffee, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she received a B.S. in Accountancy in 1985 and a Juris Doctorate degree in 1988.
Upon graduation from law school, Lisa moved to St. Louis and worked in the private practice of law until 1995. Thereafter, she worked as an independent contractor for a former employer and began her volunteer work in 1996. Lisa served as Vice President and President of a local not-for-profit, as well as a board member for 17 years.
Lisa has been a grateful resident of Glendale for 30 years. She is married to Kevin Cushing, a partner at the law firm of Carmody MacDonald in Clayton. They have three children: Kellen (St. Louis University High School ‘15), age 23, second-year law student at the University of Missouri-Columbia; Lily (Cor Jesu Academy ‘20), age 18, freshman at the University of Missouri-Columbia studying Nursing; and Keegan, age 15, sophomore at DeSmet Jesuit High School. The Cushings are members of Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Webster Groves.
Lisa is honored to serve you as a member of the Board of Aldermen of the great City of Glendale.
