Grow Glendale Gorgeous

Spring 2019 is finally here and summer is fast approaching. With the completion of the new city hall and firehouse comes some reorganization for GGG, as well.

We will be planting the two beautiful large urns in front of city hall along with a few permanent pots (10) in place throughout the city along with Hanneke’s window boxes. The watering of the other 53 pots has become too burdensome because it requires a massive amount of jugs on a weekly basis. Until then, we are going to concentrate our efforts on the urns and permanent plantings at the city hall/firehouse where water sources are located and existing permanent pots.

We will send out a volunteer sign up to water at these locations.

Thank you in advance to everyone that is planning to plant with us this Friday April 27th, 9:00 am at Glendale Public Works on Bismark. As you know, once the flowers are planted, the real work begins–water water water!!

This year, City Hall plantings are drastically reduced due to the construction of our new Fire Station. As such, we just have two sign ups for (1) a few of the locations of containers throughout Glendale that were not adopted by families and (2) the businesses across from City Hall
