Glendale Aquatic Center

In 1998, the residents of Glendale approved a tax, which allowed the city to form a partnership with the cities of Kirkwood and Oakland to operate an aquatic center. Glendale paid a per capita share of the construction of this facility, allowing our residents rights to the facility in Kirkwood. “Recreation Station”, as this facility is called, is located at the corner of Geyer and Monroe in Kirkwood Park. Information regarding this facility is as follows:
2020 Hours of Operation:

Kirkwood, Glendale and Oakland season pass holders along with resident daily visitors with a valid ID card, will be allowed. Non-residents and guests will NOT be admitted at this time (subject to change based on guidelines).
A limit of 6 people per household has been set by St. Louis County.
All visitors must sign a Coronavirus waiver prior to using the facility each day.
All visitors must wear a face covering while on deck.
No one under the age of 13 will be admitted unless supervised by an adult for the length of the visit.

Due to a 25% capacity limit set by St. Louis County Kirkwood Aquatic Center will allow entry up to 155 Patrons through a registration process for several swim sessions each day. Season pass holders are encouraged to pre-register for only the sessions they intend to use.
Public swim session times available:
9:15 am – 11:15 am
(Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday)

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
2:45 pm – 4:45 pm
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
(Monday—Sunday)

At this time pre-registration is not required but it is encouraged and is a benefit of the season pass.

Fees

Kirkwood/Glendale/Oakland Residents with current resident ID cards: $6/session

Kirkwood/Glendale/Oakland Season Pass: $210 for a family of 3 ($20 each additional person)

The Kirkwood Community Center will not be open for in person renewals. We have extended any resident (Kirkwood/Oakland/Glendale) ID cards that expired, or were going to expire, 1/1/18 – 9/7/20 to expire at the end of this pool season. If your card was expired during this time period, it has been automatically renewed, there is no need for further action on your part. Pool staff will be able to verify your card at the entry desk if you no longer have the physical card and your account will reflect this new expiration date for any online transactions.

New residents, or residents that have not renewed their ID card since 2014, will need to call our front desk (314)822-5855 to get your card renewed. ID Cards are $10 per person and valid for 3 years. Please allow time for the phone call as the process to verify residency can take some time according to each residents situation.

Hierarchy of Entry

1) Season pass holders will have the opportunity to reserve space 10 days in advance and will be allowed to enter the facility up to 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each pre-registered swim session.
2) Resident daily users will have the opportunity to reserve space 1 day in advance and will be allowed to enter the facility up to 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each pre-registered swim session.
3) Walk-up season pass holders will be able to enter at the start of each swim session if present, and will only be granted access if capacity of 155 is not reached.
4) Resident ID daily admission card holders will be able to enter at the start of each swim session and will only be granted access if the capacity of 155 is not reached.
