Aaron Nauman was elected to his first term as Ward II Alderman on April 3, 2012, and is currently serving his third term as of the April 5, 2016 election. Alderman Nauman is married to his wife, Marissa, and they have three children, Isabel, Tommy and Zoe. They all currently attend Kirkwood public schools. Alderman Nauman holds a BA Degree in History from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) and an MA in Computer Resources & Information Management from Webster University. Alderman Nauman is a lifelong resident of the area having lived in both Kirkwood and Oakland prior to moving to Glendale nearly 10 years ago, and served on the Oakland Board of Adjustment as Vice-Chairman.
In addition to his aldermanic duties, Alderman Nauman serves as the city’s first Tree Board President. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen established a Tree Board on August 19, 2013 to assist in the selection, planting and maintenance of trees within the city limits, to study the city’s urban forest, determine needs, and to compose and review annually a Tree Plan and seek ways to implement it. The Tree Board comprises one member of the Board of Aldermen, and the Public Works Superintendent. The Arbor Day Foundation recently recognized Glendale for the 3rd year in a row as a Tree City USA.
Alderman Nauman is an Assistant Vice President and Operational Risk Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors in the Technology Risk Group. The retail brokerage business for Wells Fargo Corporation is headquartered in St. Louis and its downtown campus employs close to 6000 team members. He is also actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America with Troop 360 at North Glendale Elementary, currently serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster and will be assuming the role of Scoutmaster in May. He was also his son’s den leader for 5 years with the Cub Scout’s Pack 360. Alderman Nauman enjoys much-needed downtime from his personal and professional activities and when the weather is nice, he can be seen riding frequently through the streets of Glendale as an avid cyclist.
